I searched our catalog for RealSense cameras and checked the data interface listed for each one — here is what I found.
No RealSense camera in the catalog lists a USB data interface. The two RealSense-branded cameras we carry are:
| Product | Catalog family | Data interface |
|---|---|---|
| RealSense D457 | Stereo Depth Cameras | GMSL2/FAKRA store.real...store.realsenseai.com ↗“GMSL2/FAKRA data connection requires a host-side deserializer” |
| RealSense D555 | Stereo Depth Cameras | Ethernet/RJ45 store.real...store.realsenseai.com ↗“camera.interface=Ethernet/RJ45” |
A few details worth noting:
- The D457 connects over GMSL2/FAKRA and requires a host-side deserializer and supporting drivers . store.real...store.realsenseai.com ↗“GMSL2/FAKRA data connection requires a host-side deserializer”
- The D555 streams depth data over Ethernet/RJ45 with PoE providing device input power; the catalog notes USB is also usable on this camera, but only for power/debug — not as the camera data interface . store.real...store.realsenseai.com ↗“USB also usable for power/debug”
What I could not determine: whether RealSense offers USB-connected models at all outside what our catalog carries — I only found these two RealSense cameras in it, and neither has USB as its data connection. For a genuine USB RealSense option, I'd suggest checking RealSense's own product pages or an authorized distributor.
If a USB-interface depth camera is what you need, our catalog does carry stereo depth cameras from other manufacturers with USB connections (for example, several with USB 3.0 Type-C interfaces in the Stereo Depth Cameras family), and I'm happy to list those matches if useful.
