On all three counts — Ethernet speed, memory, and AI performance — the Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit 64GB comes out ahead.
| Spec | Jetson AGX Xavier Developer Kit | Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit 64GB |
|---|---|---|
| Max Ethernet speed | 1GbE | 10GbE |
| Memory | 32 GB LPDDR4x, 136.5 GB/s bandwidth | 64 GB LPDDR5, 204.8 GB/s bandwidth |
| AI performance (INT8) | 32 TOPS | 275 TOPS |

A few notes worth knowing:
- AI TOPS comparability: the 32 TOPS figure for Xavier is INT8 dense, while the 275 TOPS for AGX Orin is INT8 sparse — so they are not measured on an identical basis, though the Orin kit is dramatically faster regardless. The Xavier generation's dense vs. the Orin generation's sparse convention differs.
- GPU architecture: Xavier uses the Volta architecture (512 CUDA cores); the Orin kit uses Ampere (2048 CUDA cores).
- Lifecycle status: the Jetson AGX Xavier Developer Kit is marked EOL (end of life) in our catalog, so the AGX Orin Developer Kit 64GB is also the current, supported option of the two.
In short: if you need the fastest networking (10GbE), the larger and faster memory (64 GB LPDDR5 at 204.8 GB/s), and roughly 8× the AI throughput, the Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit 64GB is the clear choice.
