The fastest Ethernet port on any drone mission computer in our catalog is on the Lambortech RMC-604 — it has 2.5GbE, and it's the only drone mission computer that goes beyond 1GbE. lambortech... +1lambortech.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=2.5GbE”lambortech.com ↗“1GbE (11), 2.5GbE (1)”
Details relevant to your lidar-over-Ethernet use case:
- Lambortech RMC-604 (RMC-604 NVIDIA Jetson Orin Lightweight AI Drone Computer): max Ethernet speed 2.5GbE, 2 Ethernet ports, built on Jetson Orin NX 8GB/16GB or Orin Nano 8GB, with 10–60 VDC input for 3S–14S batteries. lambortech... +1lambortech.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=2.5GbE, io.ethernet_ports=2”lambortech.com ↗“built on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX (8GB/16GB) or Orin Nano 8GB with 10-60 VDC input for 3S-14S batteries”
For comparison, every other drone mission computer with a stated Ethernet speed tops out at 1GbE — including the SDK Systems UAVNX16-100R, the Lambortech ECM001–ECM004 series, ARK's Just A Jetson and Jetson PAB Carrier, the DJI Manifold 2-G, the Holybro Pixhawk Jetson Baseboard, and Auterion's AI Node and Skynode N. sdksys.com +10sdksys.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”lambortech.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”lambortech.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”arkelectron.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”lambortech.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”lambortech.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”dji.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”holybro.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”arkelectron.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”docs.auterion.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”auterion.com ↗“io.max_ethernet_speed=1GbE”
One caveat worth noting: if you were considering the compact Lambortech ECM001, the base ECM001 variant is only 10/100M Ethernet — the ECM001-GIGA variant is the one with 1G Ethernet. lambortech...lambortech.com ↗“offered as ECM001 (10/100M Ethernet) and ECM001-GIGA (1G Ethernet)”
If you want the 2.5GbE link to actually help, remember the lidar itself and any switch in the path also need to support 2.5G — otherwise the RMC-604 will negotiate down to the slowest link speed.
